1847-1907, exceptionally nice collection, the condition overall of the mint and used stamps in this album is above what is usually seen with classic collections, almost all the stamps are F-VF, with decent cancels and no obvious flaws from the front side, all stamps are in mounts.

1857-1980, meaty mint and used collection, housed in Scott's Minuteman Album, includes classic issues typically used but also many mint stamps from 1926 to the 1980's, of note is a #39 (fake cancel), #70, #73, #524 (mint n.h.), #550, #658-659 Kansas-Nebraska complete, all the Farleys in souvenir sheets, singles (perfed and imperf) including gutter pairs, the Prexies complete, the Overrun Countries complete; catalog value and identification of the better stamps are noted in the stamp album and are mostly imaged, the visibly damaged stamps not counted; a great collection full of singles and sets for resale or the collector looking to fill lots of spaces, many images on the website to give a flavor of this album. 1857-1920, used selection, all premium quality, V.F. to X.F., 56 all different, all inexpensive (catalog values range from a few cents to at most $70), but all with outstandingly choice centering and mostly neat light cancels. We estimate that if these were sent to any of the major expertizing services for grading, they would grade from VF 80 to XF-SUP 95, with most coming in at XF 90. These "little gems" include:

1861-1992, six volume Platinum Series collection, not a lot in the first volume but more as each volume continues, volume 5 is nearly complete; the catalog value does add up and a few noteworthy items are a Sc #231 n.h., #257 (no gum), #412 pr, #C1-6, we have imaged all of the real catalog value on our website and the rest is more or less postage in the more modern era - of particular value are the Platinum albums themselves which retail for $1000+ (we noted a set exactly like this without any stamps sold on eBay in January for $780; a rare find indeed! Scott $3,413.

1879-1985, clean mint balance lot, a nice array of stamps that runs the gamut including back-of-the-book, featuring singles, a few pairs sets and plate number blocks. Many of the classics are no gum, a few are n.h. but most are hinged, a few with faults. Centering averages F.-V.F., some better, some worse. All imaged on the website. Scott $2,426.
